OCPA will be sponsoring a program for psychology graduate students and early career psychologists. The program will feature six psychologists with expertise in a variety of areas of clinical psychology. There will be two panel presentations each with three psychologists presenting how they became interested in their specialties, how they developed their areas of expertise, the services they provide and the populations they work with and how they set up their businesses.

Pursuing Specializations in Psychology


OCPA will be sponsoring a program for psychology graduate students and early career psychologists on Saturday, May 6 from 9 am to 12 noon at Argosy University.  The program is open to psychology graduate students from all universities as well as early career psychologists.

 

The program will feature six psychologists with expertise in a variety of areas of clinical psychology.

 There will be two panel presentations each with three psychologists presenting:

  • How they became interested in their specialties
  • How they developed their areas of expertise
  • The services they provide 
  • The populations they work with
  • How they set up their businesses
  • How they have “marketed” themselves to build successful private practices

 

 The psychologists include:

  • Kent Peppard,  Ph.D., Geriatric Neuropsychology
  • Leslie Drozd, Ph.D.,  Forensic Psychology and Psychotherapy with Families with Post- Divorce Issues
  • Scott Nelson, Psy.D., Psychological Testing
  • David Lachuga, Ph.D., Neuropsychology
  • Benjamin Strack, Ph.D., Sport Psychology
  • Lori Aleknavicius, Psy.D., Child Clinical Psychology
